1833 U.S. Large Cent
Countermarked "T H L *" (Raised Letters within a Cartouche)
Raised letters in a monogram style within a serrated rectangular cartouche. There are also several other small raised items in the rectangle, making it very interesting. A very unusual style of mark.
I sold another example of this countermark on an 1803 US Large Cent (see the pictures for an image).
Note: Only the 1833 counterstamp is included in this lot, NOT the 1803 Cent.
