A beautiful 1838 coronet head large cent graded MS 62 by PCGS. This is one of the only mint state examples we have offered in a while lately for this type. It has an exceptional quality strike with a fairly even patina among both sides. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
This date is common to the series with a high mintage of 6,370,200. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 5,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of just 140 graded Mint State 62 Brown by PCGS.
