    Description

Originally released in 1989, Bob Carrera narrated this historic look at one of the final passenger trains of the D&RGW narrow gauge’s 4th division from Alamosa to Durango & back with 483 in charge, before the tracks between Chama & Durango have since been ripped up for good as well as the third rail from Alamosa to Antonito being converted from Dual gauge to standard gauge, that was filmed in 1965 by none other than Emery Gulash. Some of these scenes were later used in the Top Frog Series.
There is one tiny goof: Carrera says that the line from Antonito to Chama crosses the state line 8 times when it should’ve meant 11 times.
Did you know that the town of Ignacio New Mexico was used for the Warner Bros version of Around the World in 80 Days?
