LAST LISTALL Santa Fe & SP Lines Video VHS transfer to DVD 1988-1991 N Illinois 60min
Compiled as a special request, but making a few copies available for anyone interested.
Selected scenes from my many hours of 1988 thru mid 1990s VHS camcorder footage.
Summer 1989 at Streator, lllinois Santa Fe Depot-
-EB (east bound) train departing yard w/caboose
-MOW /hi rail-crane vehicle comes to a stop in front of depot crew talks to older railfan
-6 locos come lite off the Conrail interchange including an F45 series in Kodachrome scheme and a rebuilt Geep
-A Short Railfan Surprise Sequence
-Amtraks SW Chief WB station stop w/ an EB TOFC sneaking past on the track behind- at least 1 GE in consist smokes just as train going under the vehicular bridge
-Some video from inside the depot
-The WB we all came from up north in Dixon, Illinois to see; rumors were circulating that a hotshot TOFC train was taking office cars to the west coast and often led by the then-newly reintroduced red and silver warbonnet scheme on new GP60s. 2 cars indeed trailed this train tho led by blue bonnet locos
-next, was an EB running "wrong main". This train is led by a GE.
-A WB pulls into the yard led by a GP30
-down at the diamond of the ex-Kankakee belt a WB Conrail train with steel coils in open gondolas.
-the GP30 then is let to proceed West taking with it a special MOW(?) cars and a caboose bringing up the rear.
Slowed motion scenes with a bit different video enhancement are included of the faster passing trains from the Streator visit.

Rolling meet on the BN at Carter Siding near Polo, Illinois in snowy winter 1989 scene-
-run through power behind a BN GP39-2. ATSF #5065 (EB train taking the siding)
-local BN MOW crew working on switch
-CNJ (?) coach passenger car within the WB manifest

Southern Pacific power on SOO Line 1990-
-EB w/ friendly engineer. I was pacing from the sunroof of my '85 Ford Mustang w/ wife driving on parallel Route 72. Engineer waves, opens window and notches up a couple. Locos; SP 8510 (tunnel motor), SP 7616 and a Cotton belt GE. Also scene of this train passing under highway bridge as I stood atop.
-EB train coming across BN diamonds at Savanna. Stops briefly at W Savanna; power; Rio Grande, Cotton belt 9644, SP, SP.

EXTRA FEATURE; a "slide show" of still images from the video of most all of the locomotives and other selected scenes photoshopped for maximum quality.
Sequence on final DVD may change, and more scenes may be added, but this is the bulk of the material. Lots of atmosphere of 30 years ago including the actual trains.

The DVD is Region0 playable anywhere and on both DVD players and Computers with a DVD drive. Where Zoom, Speed options and pause are available one can seek out many details.
