  • Condition: The top section of the back from shoulders to top of head is missing. There are two small chips on the rim of the match safe . Worn through the paint in the ash tray. Strike marks on the striker and and what looks like a drip if paint. Also has a repaired break on the front of the waist line under the jacket and up the back of the arms. Please examine photos carefully for details before purchasing. Photos are a critical part of the description.

    Antique Smokers Match Safe Set Figural Cigar Holder,
    Stricker, Ash Tray
    of a boy with what seems to be a blanket and patches on his pants. Victorian England was a child dominated society where the children were put to work at a young age. This figure is probably one of those children. He stands approximately 10 1/4" tall and the base is 5 5/8" x 9 1/2".  Although the back section is gone, it is still a very nice piece.
