Offered is a beautiful one-key D flute (concert key of C) with 4 joints. Lowest note plays D. Made of boxwood with ivory rings and one nickel key. Sounding length 20 3/4" or  527 mm. Plays slightly above A=440 and can be tuned using a plumbing washer or tuning ring. The flute is unstamped. The design looks American or possibly English with an oval embouchure and small to medium sized tone holes. Looks to be made in the mid 1800's. The playing condition is fantastic and plays with a huge tone and an effortless response. I purchased this flute for myself and it came with the cracks already repaired. This is not my work. I would have used carbon fiber to insure a secure repair. For that reason you will receive a full one year warranty on the crack work. If any crack opens I'll fix it for free. And I'll make sure the cracks are secured properly. Upon receiving the flute I replaced the D pad and the head cork and restrung the tenons. Just cleaned, oiled and tested and this is truly my best playing boxwood flute. All in all a beautiful robust player with a strong tone. Perfect for Irish or traditional music. Included is a sweet handmade wooden box. I'll also include a cloth, cork grease and cleaning stick.
