Description

This adapter allows you to connect your 16 pin OBD2 device or cable to BLACK 9 pin Deutsch diagnostics connector found on heavy-duty, class 6,7,8 vehicles 2003 and newer.
The device or cable you are connecting MUST have the MALE OBD-II/OBD2 connector on it.
Has male and female BLACK Deutsch 9 pin connectors allowing for it to be mounted (if desired) . Dismount existing connector > connector Y adapter to dismounted connector > mount other end of Y adapter where factory connector was dismounted > route 16 pin OBD to anywhere in vehicle up to 8 feet away
Approximately 12" length between black 9 pin connectors and 96" (8 feet) length between 9 pin and 16 pin OBD2 connector
All 9 pins from from diagnostics connector to diagnostics connector are wired through.
Provides power, ground, CAN/J1939 and J1708/J1587 data found on factory 9 Pin connector
One end has Deutsch HD16-9-1939S BLACK 9 pin plug with locking ring - this connects to your factory connector located in vehicle
Other end has Deutsch HD10-9-1939P this repalces the factory connector
Other end has J1962F Female 16 pin OBD2 type connector - this connects to your device such as scanner, telematics, GPS tracker and so on that has MALE 16 pin OBD2/OBD-II style plug
Allows you to hide OBD2 type device in dash and still have genuine factory connector.
