BOLIVIA GRAND TOUR is another in
Revelation A-V's World Rail Series spotlighting South American railroading.
The 2005 title, revised in 2013, travels from tropical Pantanal to three-mile-high snowswept Condor Summit.  The two main rail networks, Ferroviaria Oriental and Ferroviaria Andina, provide the backdrop for rail journeys to La Paz, Potosi and many rural towns where "a hundred years of railway heritage stands frozen in time."
Tour managers gained amazing cooperation from the Bolivian train crews.  I can imagine the conversation went something like, "O.K., can you back the train down the mountain a few miles so that we can all get some memorable across-the-valley distant run-by footage?"  Apparently on multiple occasions, the answer was "YES!"  The results are terrific as multiple classes of passenger service are covered.
The full 2-hour DVD contains a mix of
video from 2005 plus rare
vintage film clips.
