This is a video tracing the Chicago and North Western right of way using several joined 1938 and 1940 Historical Aerial Photos between Galena, Buncombe (Station), motion to the West to Hazel Green, WI and back to the main to continue to Strawbridge, Benton, Cuba City, St. Rose, Elmo, Ipswitch and again West to Platteville.
The DVD has both 30 minute geographically North, but timetable East motion and West (South) versions. Numerous spurs and sidings for strip mines show the diversity of the route and terrain.
A short Extra Features chapter has a 1921 timetable and selected frames.
Audio is a soundtrack of rail cars slowly traversing jointed rail. No music or narraration.
Our other DVDs include more of the C&NW's trackage in SW Wisconsin including the rest of the Platteville Sub to Monfort and the entire "Ridgerunner" Line from Madison to Fennimore and even the narrow guage ROW of the "Dinky" to Woodman, Wisconsin.
