HiFONICS BASS POWER PACKAGE
There are many complete packages on the market, it is difficult to find your way around. Our tip: Don't just rely on the wattage, because the power consumed (e.g. that of a speaker) and the power output (e.g. that of an amplifier) ​​are often added together for advertising purposes. What is important, however, is what comes out at the end, no matter how many watts you use for it. The result is called sound pressure or thrust or translates as bass fun and is measured in decibels (dB). In the case of the Mercury package, you can look forward to 141dB sound pressure in a medium-sized vehicle and therefore a lot of fun (measured with the Term-Lab system at 52 Hz in a VW Golf V). Another highlight: Since the set includes a 4-channel amp, after connecting the subwoofer to channels 3+4, the two 2 x 125 watt front channels are available to control the front speakers. By the way: 10 dB is generally perceived as double the acoustic volume!
