LIMOGES OBLONG HINGED TRINKET BOX

Description

A delicately designed and hand-painted Limoges Oblong Flat Trinket Box with a floral and garland design.  The pastel flowers and the garland trim, as well as the golden ribbon decoration bring out the beauty of this piece. Please take note, that the center flowers of the bouquet has an iridescence to them, which adds to their beauty.
The very top and bottom are also gold colored. The box closes securely with a geisha clasp.
The "geisha clasp" on a Limoges box is well loved by serious collectors, but often difficult to locate.
This vintage box is approximately 2 1/2" long and 2" wide.  Hinged at the top, this box opens to reveal the signature: Limoges, France.  Box is in very good condition.
As you can see, extreme attention has been give to the smallest detail of this tiny treasure.
