    Description

    Very rare original circa late 1800's Waldo's American gas lighting tapers in the original box.  There are 18 wax tapers.  A label on the box reads "WALDO'S AMERICAN GAS LIGHTING TAPERS, These Tapers are manufactured from the very best material, will burn longer, will not drip, nor smoke the fixtures, have no disagreeable odor while burning, and will fit any of our GAS LIGHTING TORCHES of which we manufacture a great variety from 20 inches to 30 feet in length".  Also shown on the label is a gas lighting torch manufactured by Thomas Houchin Co. of New York City.
    The 18 original wax tapers, each measuring approximately 17.5" in length are well preserved in excellent condition with the wax creamy white in color and only an occasional small bit of slightly tannish toned discoloration.
    ACCURACY OF DESCRIPTION, CONDITION AND IMAGES: The item is described as accurately as possible along with any condition issues. The images show the quality of the item as accurately as possible although because the images were taken using a camera with flash the resulting images may show bright spots or a shine, shadows or color tone variations from flash use and reflection. Computer screens can also vary in how they show images of items so there may possibly be some tonal variation seen depending on the computer screen from which the images are viewed.
    PAYMENT TERMS: Vermont residents add 6% sales tax.
    RETURN POLICY: If the item is found by the buyer not to be as described, the buyer is to notify us within 48 hours of receipt of the item of buyer's intent to return the item for a full refund of the purchase price. Buyer to pay return shipping and insurance costs. A full refund of the purchase price will be sent to the buyer upon receipt of the returned item.
