Upcycled Boyfriend Shorts Vintage JCrew Button Fly High Waist 29 ☮ By: BIRD ☮

This is a upcycled pair of men's vintage J Crew painters jeans, (100% cotton) by me, ☮ BIRD ☮.
These are just awesome. So I purchased these at a J Crew outlet in about 1990 as a pair of painters jeans. I cut them into shorts and just wore as they were for years. They are gently distressed, but overall in great condition. These are button fly closure and are a high waist old school style. I'm not sure of the size, as the tag has been long gone, but I'm thinking they were probably about a 29" waist, (please look at the measurements and let me know if you have any questions). I added lots of various patches all over the front and back, including some vintage fabrics, vintage crochets, other various fabrics and a couple butterflies.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS: Turn inside out and wash on delicate cycle, dry in the dryer, or you can line dry if you prefer. You will have to trim the fraying after washing from time to time.

Everything I use to make and upcycle my clothes are from recycled and repurposed materials, which makes them earth friendly. 🌎 All of my items start as thrift store finds that I bring back to life. They are always sewn pieces of art, never glued. A lot of the patches and accents are sewn multiple times to make sure they stay secure and hold up to washing to drying.
