V6 Plated Copper Heater Block for Thermistor Cartridges / PT100, V6 Hotend
Why copper?
Copper has more than 3x the thermal conductivity of brass. The copper alloy used in this V6 Heater block has been hardened and treated to reduce oxidation that occurs in copper at high temperatures. The copper can also provide tighter temperature control as well. This copper alloy is temperature resilient and will not start to soften or anneal until it is above 500C, making it the perfect heater block for printing high temperature plastic filaments., that Aluminum heater blocks can't handle.
With this plated copper V6 heater block exceeding 320°C is easy but you must use a PT100, PT1000 thermocouple to rise above the 34
0°C
limitation of
HT-NTC100K Cartridge Thermistors. You will be able to use such filaments such as Ultem & Peek.
