Vintage, Art Nouveau Design, cast metal with gold gilt, casket style trinket or jewelry box.  Aged rope border lining is lifting and rope edge is worn off on one side. Gilt plating has a few surface scrapes - see photos for close ups. . 6-1/4" long. 5-1/4" tall. Wear is consistent with age. Number on the base looks like 4900 on one side.
