Vintage toilet from 1941

Description

This fine toilet served us well for over half a century.  Our eighty year old house is now under major remodeling and everything is being replaced with modern fixtures.  This toilet is original to the house and the date of mfg is stamped inside the tank lid.  Fully functioning and in excellent condition, with no cracks or chips.  No brand indicated anywhere but I do remember once seeing a small label bearing a drawing of a nude boy placing his hand on a sink.........if that means anything.  This label eventually disappeared from periodic cleaning.  The seat is a plastic replacement as is the mechanism.  There is a stain deep in the throat and a few along the inner rim.  I cleaned inside the tank and only the mechanism kept me from going any further. The bowl and tank are still bonded via the brown wax seal seen in the photos.  Very heavy, will require two people to lift, and I can help.  Local pick-up only in Los Angeles.
