Some scrape marks on the inside bottom of the round container. Very heavy item. Good condition.     Vintage Mid Century APOLLO Hollywood Regency Deco Brass Ormolu FILIGREE Glass Insert TRINKET BOX or Candy Dish 2886/7.........Box 26: apollo
    Approx. 7" wide and 2.5" tall at the side, but 4.25" to the top of the finial. I'm wonder if the lid is for this piece, or if it went to another Apollo piece, as it just doesn't fit exactly. Just a little bit off. Unknown if the lower rim maybe is out of shape, or if that is how it was made? They are both Apollo items. Made in the USA. The Amber glass insert seems original to the item, and is in very good condition. This set is very heavy. Not sure if it is a Candy Dish, or it could be used as a Desk Organizer, Sewing Caddy, or Dresser Box/Container. Great "Ormolu" Gilt Garlands on the sides, and nicely made Filigree design. Fleur-de-Lis pattern on the outer trim of the lid. Borderline Art Nouveau.  PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS AND READ THE "CONDITION " BELOW BEFORE PURCHASE.
